Parking as foundation for residential tower and office space
The "Zicht" and "Parkzicht 2.0" projects are located at Nieuw Zuid in Antwerp and were built in collaboration with Triple Living.
These projects include the construction of an underground parking lot consisting of three floors. This parking is the basis for three buildings: the residential tower consisting of 24 floors for 166 apartments, a three-story office and a four-story apartment building with a total of 40 apartments.
The tower and office of the 'Zicht' project were constructed in architectural concrete. Verheyen sandwich panels were used for the tower, in which the exterior joinery was also pre-mounted. The ventilation, sprinkler system and light points of the apartments were embedded in the floor plates.
"Park View 2.0," in turn, is a feat of architecture where masonry takes center stage. Glazed bricks of the facade continue into the entrance halls.
As usual, deadline is the major challenge of the project. At the end of 2020, the parking lot, the office of 'Zicht' and the 40 apartments of 'Parkzicht 2.0' had to be delivered. Barely a year later, i.e. at the end of 2021, the tower of 'Zicht' also had to be ready for delivery.
