With this new School Construction Project, Interbuild has started work on the demolition and then new construction of the new campus of the Heilig-Hartcollege in Heist o/d Berg. This educational campus consists of the main site with the Middle School, Upper School and Sports Hall. The site next to it is also completely renewed with new kindergarten classes and an elementary school. This gives the Lower School its own identity and face. The Middle School forms the new face of secondary education.

The secondary school possesses two entities: first grade and second-third grade (upper school), housed in two buildings separated by open space. In a first phase, the upper school (6,636m²) and sports hall (2,800m²) were realized; in the second phase, the middle school (3,850m²) and elementary school (2,358m²). The total area of the construction project is almost 16,000m². With rainwater buffering and solar panels on the roofs, the project will have an environmentally conscious character.

The very short implementation period created an additional major challenge to bring the project to completion.

This school was built by order of the Flemish Government in the framework of a PPP project, being a collaboration between the public partner School Invest (Agency for Infrastructure in Education and Participation Company Flanders) and the private partner (AG Real Estate and BNP Paribas Fortis). Together, the public and private partners form the company DBFM Scholen van Morgen nv, which is responsible for implementing the program.
