Interbuild, together with sister company BAM Contractors, completed the construction of Campus Beringen (Campus Bogaersveld), the largest Flemish School building project.

This new educational campus with five schools accounts for 27,000 m² of new construction, on a site of more than 6.5 ha, of which about 40,000 m² are newly landscaped outdoor environments.

To give the whole an impression of unity, the same materials were used everywhere and all the classrooms have the same architecture. But within this uniformity, the diversity is immense. The new buildings have a very flexible layout, with 450 classrooms, ranging from 2 m² to 2,404 m² in size.
Among them are state-of-the-art classrooms, study areas, an open learning center, a new competition sports hall, multipurpose rooms, as well as teaching kitchens, salons for hair care and beauty care, science labs, workshops for industrial applications, a room for bicycle repair, offices, etc. The whole is crisscrossed by a high-performance network with some 1,600 Internet connections and 300 access points for wireless Internet.

Campus Beringen was designed entirely with pedestrians and cyclists in mind. Sustainability was also given special attention. All modern techniques concerning daylight control, presence and absence detection, heat recovery through ventilation systems, CO2 measurement, etc. were applied. In addition, the infrastructure is ready for mass application of solar energy.

The campus was occupied by 2,000 students and more than 250 teachers in 30 graduate programs during the 2016-2017 school year.

This school was built by order of the Flemish Government in the framework of a PPP project, being a collaboration between the public partner School Invest (Agency for Infrastructure in Education and Participation Company Flanders) and the private partner (AG Real Estate and BNP Paribas Fortis). Together, the public and private partners form the company DBFM Scholen van Morgen nv, which is responsible for implementing the program.
