Renovation of former hospital complex 'Oud Gasthuis' and part new construction
The assignment included the renovation of the former hospital complex "Oud Gasthuis" and a portion of new construction. The front facade was completely restored. During the renovation, the original character was retained as much as possible. By removing intermediate walls, larger spaces were created with lots of light.
Architect Aldo Rossi designed the new building. The combination of white French stone, blue stone and aluminum plating for the facade, as well as the special shape of the cornices characterize Rossi's style. The total area is 6,500 m² and is intended for offices. There is also an underground parking area of 1,500 m².
