In early 2008, the youth service Habbekrats, the non-profit organization Kindergeluk and the City of Antwerp joined forces with the architectural firm DHP and NV Interbuild to open a new youth center in the center of Antwerp. They chose to convert a former city warehouse, located at Prekerssraat no. 14, into a multifunctional youth meeting center with five central functions: "meet, move, experience, discover and enjoy." The building was given an industrial, open look and was constructed exclusively of sustainable materials.
Thanks to the openness of the building, working with lots of light and glass, and the presence of a nice youth restaurant open to everyone, everyone can verify the commitment and strength of the youth.
