BridgeCity is a perfect example of the inclusive and sustainable city we want to build for tomorrow. The project will have a medium dense mixed-use program:

  • 41 citydev.brussels condominiums (about 5,700 m²);
  • 40 social housing units owned by BGHM and Brussels Housing (about 5,500 sq. m.);
  • 4,000 sq. ft. of studios and coworking space for economic activities;
  • 385 m² of public facility;
  • around 2,000 m² for an ALDI store;
  • green spaces

Sustainable and future-oriented design

One of the special features of the project is the vertical mix: there will be conventional housing above the store, and social housing above the public facility.

The selected project also further emphasizes the design of outdoor spaces, with a roof garden above the store for the owner-occupied apartments and a garden on the first floor for the social housing units. In front of the building with economic activities, there will also be a green square connecting all the functions.

There will also be two underground parking lots: one for the condominiums, ALDI store and economic activities, and one for the social housing and facility. The two car parks will be separate and each will have its own entrance and exit.
