Tower building with maximum flexibility and energy-saving technologies

The Tour Paradis project in Liège, commissioned by the real estate company Fedimmo SA, includes the new construction of a tower building that will house the new offices of the Federal Public Service Finance. This new Finance Center will house 1124 staff members working in various departments. The tower has 28 floors (ground floor + 27), the two highest of which are technical floors. The tower concept allows the centralization of different services in one place.

Adjacent to the tower is a low-rise building (ground floor with three floors). This building and the first three floors of the tower building will house the common classrooms and/or classrooms with specific functions. The offices are located in the tower building, starting on the fourth floor. The concept of the office building allows maximum flexibility in the organization and distribution of the offices (modular spaces, raised floors, mobile walls, etc.). 325 parking spaces for staff are provided on 3 underground levels among which 26 spaces are reserved for service vehicles. A garage for 50 bicycles was also constructed. The office building is also accessible to the disabled.

The most performing and energy-saving technologies were applied, such as triple glazing, condensing boilers, latest-generation cooling group, optimal management of artificial light, rainwater harvesting, photovoltaic panels, etc. These allow the building to meet the highest criteria for energy and environmental performance (K 37 and E 65). The project received the BREEAM Design 'Excellent' certificate, and also the BREEAM certificate 'Excellent' in progress.
