Pure luxury for seniors with Scheldezicht by star architect Van Duysen as part of New South site

With project Schelde 21, Interbuild built an exclusive residence with 109 prestigious assisted living units, designed by star architect Vincent Van Duysen.

Schelde 21 offers pure luxury for seniors on New South. This included the construction of a fully equipped wellness area with indoor pool. This also includes a massage room, a hair salon and a level restaurant. At the back on floor -1 is a beautiful courtyard garden with spacious sun terrace.

All 109 assisted living homes have fully equipped bathrooms and private kitchens. The homes are also energy-passive. The residents also all have a living terrace with a view of the Scheldt. As is often reflected in the building style on the Nieuw Zuid, the terraces in Schelde 21 can also be completely closed off, creating a sort of veranda feeling in winter. To the rear, residents look out onto the courtyard garden. The facades are constructed in natural stone with wood for the terrace rooms.

Interbuild completed Schelde 21 for the builder Triple Living.

Schelde 21 is part of the Nieuw Zuid project, a new neighborhood in the south of Antwerp. The project area is located between
de Scheldekaaien, Namenstraat, Jan van Gentstraat, Brusselstraat and the Ring Road. For the entire Nieuw Zuid site, an external heat network was installed by the city of Antwerp, which provides heat to each building by using renewable energy.
