All-glass Noordster at Antwerp

On the site of the former railroad complex in Ellermanstraat, on the edge of 'Het Eilandje' in Antwerp North and in the extension of Park Spoor Noord, space has been made for the construction of an office tower. Together with the 'London Tower' on the opposite side of the Italiëlei, the tower, built entirely of glass, forms the gateway to the city center. The building is at the disposal of the FPS Finance and houses the functional services of Customs and Excise (the Customs Center) and the services of the CBO (Centers for Vocational Training).

The offices are housed in a sleek 14-story tower with underground parking over 2 floors. The ground floor houses a conference room that can accommodate 189 people. The second floor contains mainly office space and a janitor's house, and the third floor gives space to a kitchen with cafeteria and houses the Customs Museum, the heritage of Antwerp Customs. The fourth and fifth floors house the CBO department with several classrooms and offices, and from the sixth floor to the thirteenth floor house the offices of the Customs Center. On the highest floor, the technical area was set up.

Fully adapted to current standards and comfort requirements (with an E-value of E77), this building meets the contemporary needs of Antwerp Customs.
