Conversion of office building into full-fledged rest and care home
The existing office building (built in 1987) was completely gutted (floors, ceilings, curtain wall, techniques ...) and converted into a retirement home with 162 rooms, nurses' rooms, kitchenettes ...
The building provides all the services of a full-fledged retirement and nursing home with modern architecture and high-quality finishes.
Active and less active residents can count on all the services to make their old age pleasant: a private doctor, nursing care, pedicure, a hair salon, a relaxation room, a restaurant ...
The premise of the remodel was to reuse existing elements to the maximum extent possible. The natural stone on the facade was retained, but the curtain wall was replaced with gable brickwork and windows. Within the building, two patios were formed (vaults are demolished) with a crepe facade. In the basement level -1, a large kitchen was provided as well as checkrooms, storage rooms, meeting rooms and a mortuary.
Levels -2 and -3 were retained as parking areas.
